Home/SEO Services

SEO services, judged on enquiries.

Technical fixes, service pages, local search and Google Business Profile, built for small and growing businesses and measured against the number of people who get in touch rather than a screenshot of a ranking.

What SEO services actually consist of.

01 · The short version

SEO is four jobs: make the site technically legible to search engines, give it pages that answer what people actually type, make the local listings accurate and complete, then measure the whole thing against enquiries rather than positions.

Most of the value arrives in the first two months, because most sites are carrying a small number of fixable problems rather than a large number of subtle ones. The months after that are about publishing pages that deserve to rank and keeping the technical side from drifting back.

The reason SEO has a reputation problem is that it's easy to sell and hard to check. Rankings can be reported selectively. Traffic can go up while enquiries stay flat. A monthly report can be full of activity and empty of consequence.

So the arrangement here is simple: the baseline is recorded before anything changes, the goal is named in enquiries, and the monthly read-out is written in language you don't need me to interpret.

Ranking first for something nobody searches is not a result. Neither is traffic that never asks you for anything.

The keyword set is chosen for buying intent, and I'd rather hold a modest position on a term that converts than the top of one that doesn't.

The order matters more than the effort.

03 · Sequence

01

Audit and baseline

What's indexed, what's broken, what you currently rank for and how many enquiries arrive today. Written down before anything is touched.

02

Fix the foundation

Technical errors, speed, the pages already close to converting. Cheapest gains first. There's no sense writing new pages onto a broken base.

03

Build the pages that earn

Service and location pages mapped to buying intent, published on a schedule, each one instrumented so you can see which ones do the work.

04

Compound and report

Internal linking, refreshes of what's slipping, and a monthly read-out in plain language. The work gets cheaper as the site gets stronger.

When I'd tell you not to buy SEO.

04 · Honestly

If you need enquiries this month, SEO is the wrong instrument. It compounds, which is another way of saying it's slow. Paid search buys you the same intent immediately and costs more per enquiry, and that trade is often worth making while the slower work builds underneath it.

If nobody is searching for what you sell, no amount of optimisation creates the demand. That's a content and paid social problem, and I'd tell you so rather than sell you twelve months of the wrong thing.

If your follow-up is slow, more enquiries will mostly produce more missed ones. Fixing that is usually free and always comes first.

And if your site is about to be rebuilt, doing SEO on the version that's being thrown away is money spent twice. Sequence the rebuild first. I'd rather delay the engagement than bill for work that gets deleted.

06 · FAQ

How much do SEO services cost?

$1,500 a month if SEO is the one channel you're buying, or $1,999 a month as part of full marketing management. The price is published rather than quoted, and it doesn't change based on how big your business looks.

How long does SEO take to work?

Technical fixes can change how much of your site is indexed within weeks. New pages competing for commercial terms are realistically a matter of months, and how many months depends on how contested your category is and how much authority the site already has.

Anyone who gives you a fixed timeline before looking at your site is guessing. I'd rather tell you what I'll have done by month two, and let the ranking follow.

Do you guarantee first-page rankings?

No, and I'd be careful with anyone who does. Nobody controls the ranking. Google does. What can be committed to is the work, the sequence, and an honest monthly account of what moved.

Is there a contract or a minimum term?

No minimum on SEO as a single channel. It's month to month. I'd ask you to give it a fair run, because leaving after six weeks means paying for the foundation work and none of the compounding, but that's advice rather than a clause.

Will you work on a site you didn't build?

Yes, most of the time. Whatever the platform, WordPress, Squarespace, Shopify, Webflow or something custom, the work is broadly the same. If the site is built in a way that makes the fixes impossible I'll tell you that at the consultation, before either of us commits.

Do I need SEO if I'm already running Google Ads?

Not necessarily, but they help each other. Ads tell you within weeks which terms actually convert, which is the best possible brief for which pages to build. Running both means paid search subsidises the learning that makes organic cheaper later.
